Although the deadline to register for FEMA assistance for Hurricane Irma has passed, there are still several programs available to residents affected this past season.

FEMA has extended the Transitional Sheltering Assistance (TSA) program through January 6, 2018.  For those eligible, FEMA will authorize and fund TSA through direct payments to participating hotels/motels. The list of approved hotels is available at www.DisasterAssistance.gov by clicking on the Transitional Sheltering Assistance Hotel Locator link.  Survivors may also call the FEMA Helpline (800-621-3362) for voice or 711 VRS, or 800-662-7585 for TTY.

The Florida D-SNAP program is available through the State of Florida's Department of Family and Children's Services, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.  Individuals can apply at: www.dcf.state.fl.us/programs/access/fff/

FEMA is planning to close the Carolyn Sims/Boynton Disaster Recovery Center on December 20.
