Commissioner Valeche joined Edna W. Runner, congressional, state and local elected officials, family and friends of Idella "Ida" Harris to celebrate her 100th birthday at a ceremony given in her honor on October 10 at the West Jupiter Recreation Center. Ms. Harris is the only surviving member of the Philip and Rebecca Simmons family, who were pioneers of the West Jupiter and Tequesta communities.
Commissioner Valeche presented Ms. Harris with a Certificate of Congratulations on behalf of the County Commission.
