Palm Beach County Commissioner Maria Sachs, representing District 5 in the southern unincorporated areas of Palm Beach County, is proud to announce the first 300 COVID-19 vaccines for our seniors 65 and older were dispersed and administered at Kings Point in west Delray Beach today.

The vaccination program is a private/public partnership coordinated with medical providers, condominium associations and HOA's to implement the most efficient method to disperse, educate, register and administer the Coronavirus vaccine to hopefully immobilize the virus and help prevent continued spread.  The goal is to register seniors, so they can receive follow-up care.

The governor's office is responsible for the receipt and distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine, and he has determined that seniors 65 and older are qualified to receive the vaccine in this phase.  Through partnerships, points of distribution (PODs) will be designated for both fixed and mobile units to continue the vaccination of our senior population to help prevent and contain the Coronavirus that has been crippling senior communities.
