Smiles and American Flags were the order of the day January 23, 2020 when Commissioner Maria Marino joined Army Sgt. Justin Callahan and family, Jupiter Farms residents, and Homes for our Troops members to celebrate the kickoff for the construction of a custom home for the Callahan family.  Sgt. Callahan lost his leg from injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated outside of Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan in 2004.  The single story, specially adapted home, fully sponsored by Homes for our Troops will enable Justin to maintain his health and enhance his overall productivity at home and in his new professional field.  He recently completed his master's degree in Social Work at Florida Atlantic University.  Additionally, the financial freedom of the home will give Justin and his wife, Katie the opportunity to save for their sons' futures.
