On June 17, 2021, Commissioner Bernard attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Merry Place Estates, an affordable housing development in West Palm Beach. The event was held to celebrate the successful closing of the first townhome purchased by Bernita Bank. The development is part of the Palm Beach County Workforce Housing Program.
