At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on Nov. 2, 2021, Commissioner Maria Sachs, along with fellow county commissioners, presented a proclamation declaring Nov. 5 Benjamin Ferencz – Law Not War Day in Palm Beach County. At the age of 27, Benjamin Ferencz was tasked by General Taylor to be the chief prosecutor in what the Associated Press called “the biggest murder trial in history,” when he led the prosecution of 22 members of the SS Einsatzgruppen responsible for murdering over one million persons.
