Mask Policy Repealed for County Buildings

Body

Effective Monday, February 14, 2022 at 12:01 am, the facial coverings policy, effective since January 3, 2022 for county staff and the general public in county-owned and leased buildings, is hereby repealed. The federal mask requirement for county-operated transit vehicles and in the Palm Beach International Airport remains in effect.

The repeal of this policy is based upon consultation with the Director of the Florida Department of Health for Palm Beach County and the latest CDC COVID Data Tracker. Another factor is that the positivity rate is projected to be at 10%.

Palm Beach County remains in the High Transmission Mode, therefore it is strongly recommended that employees, visitors and interested parties continue to wear facial coverings, practice social distancing and become vaccinated.
