On November 12, the 11th Annual Tequesta Chili Cook-Off & Beer Tasting event was held to honor veterans from WWII, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Wounded Veterans, and Gold Star Families. Proceeds provide financial support for several non-profit organizations that assist wounded and disabled military personnel and their families, and to support members of Tequesta Fire Rescue and Police departments.
Over 31 chili entrees were judged by a panel of officials, which also included Commissioner Marino, Tequesta Mayor Molly Young, and Jupiter Inlet Colony Mayor Dan Comerford. First Place was awarded to the City of Hollywood Fire Department and First Place for Non-Fire Department was awarded to Tiki 52
