At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on Dec. 6, 2022, Commissioner Mack Bernard presented a proclamation declaring Dec. 1, 2022, as World AIDS Day in Palm Beach County.
The United States 2022 World AIDS Day theme is “Ending the HIV Epidemic: Equitable Access, Everyone’s Voice.” In Palm Beach County, more than 8,200 persons are living with HIV. With the declaration of Worlds AIDS Day, the Palm Beach County HIV Community Prevention Partnership, the Palm Beach County HIV CARE Council, and its partners are working together to renew HIV/AIDS awareness and to expand and strengthen local efforts to stop the spread of HIV in Palm Beach County.
