At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on Jan. 10, 2023, Commissioner Baxter (on behalf of Former Commissioner Dave Kerner) presented a proclamation declaring January 2023 as Human Trafficking Month in Palm Beach County. Human trafficking is the fastest growing criminal enterprise in the world today. Human traffickers view Florida as one of the most attractive destinations and transit points for victims and accounts for the third largest call volume to the National Human Trafficking Hotline.
