Bernard presented a proclamation declaring
February
2023 as Black History Month in Palm Beach County. In 1926, President Ford declared February as Black History Month, and in less than 50 years it has become widely celebrated with organized programs in colleges and universities. Black History Month has also become part of the curriculum of public schools.
