At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on Feb. 7, 2023, Commissioner Bernard presented a proclamation declaring March 4, 2023 as The Links, Inc. West Palm Beach (FL) Chapter First Black Family Wellness Expo in Palm Beach County. The chapter received a grant to launch the Black Kidney Awareness Resource Education initiative in Palm Beach County. Funds will help bring kidney disease awareness and resources to the disproportionate challenges affecting Black Americans. The expo will provide resources and screenings to help Black families take control of their health.
