At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on March 14, 2023, Commissioner Baxter presented a proclamation declaring March 2023 as Women's History Month in Palm Beach County. 2023 marks the 175th anniversary of the Women's Rights Movement which served as the driving force behind securing many women's rights such as the right to vote, the right to hold public office, improved employment rights and representation. Every year since 1987, March has been designated Women's History Month in the United States with the president proclaiming the month of March as National Women's History Month.
