​On March 7 and 8, 2023, Commissioner Marino joined her commission colleagues, legislative delegation, municipal, business and non-profit leaders in Tallahassee for Palm Beach County Day lobbying efforts.

This annual event provides an opportunity for our commission to meet with members of the State Cabinet, Legislators, and Agency Secretaries to discuss proposed legislation, appropriations and matters affecting our community.  Some of the meetings the commissioner attended included Lt. Governor Jeanette Nunez, Senator Jason Brodeur, Rules Chair Representative Danny Perez, Department of Economic Opportunity Secretary Meredith Ivey, and Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Jared Perdue.  Topics covered affordable/workforce housing, roads and bridges infrastructure, water resources and environmental restoration.
