At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on April 4, 2023, Commissioner Bernard presented a proclamation declaring April 10-14, 2023 as National Community Development Week in Palm Beach County. The National Community Development Association designated National Community Development Week to celebrate the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and the HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program, two valuable programs that have made tremendous contributions to the viability of our community. Over the past five years, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has awarded Palm Beach County more than $32 million in CDBG Program funds and $11 million in HOME Program funds.
