At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on May 2, 2023, Vice Mayor Sachs presented a proclamation declaring May 7-13, 2023, as National Travel and Tourism Week in Palm Beach County. The travel industry is critical to the growth our local economy. In 2022, the Palm Beach County tourism industry welcomed 9.2 million visitors who were serviced by more than 100,000 employees of local businesses. The Palm Beach County Tourist Development Council (TDC) and its contracted agencies provide the destination awareness that has driven Palm Beach County’s positive growth in tourism performance.
