At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on May 2, 2023, Commissioner Marino presented a proclamation declaring May 21-27, 2023, as National Public Works Week in Palm Beach County. National Public Works Week was established in 1960 to help increase understanding of the public works industry professionals who work tirelessly to protect our health, safety and welfare. The county’s public works team includes the Engineering and Public Works Department, Department of Environmental Resources Management, Facilities Development and Operations Department, Water Utilities Department, Solid Waste Authority and Department of Airports.
