​At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on May 2, 2023, Commissioner Marino presented a proclamation declaring May 2023 as Palm Beach County Older Americans Month. Palm Beach County includes a growing number of older Americans who enrich our community through their diverse life experiences. The Palm Beach County Community Services Department’s Division of Senior and Veteran Services is committed to strengthening the elder community by administering programs and services designed to promote healthier lifestyles and independent living for older adults in their homes and communities. Palm Beach County can work to build an even better community for our older residents by not limiting our thinking about aging, exploring and combating stereotypes, emphasizing the many positive aspects of aging, inspiring older adults to push past traditional boundaries and embracing our community’s diversity.
