Palm Beach County Commissioner Maria G. Marino attended the annual Governor’s Hurricane Conference, which returned to the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach.
During the conference, participants engaged in various activities under this year's theme, “Partnering for Success." Commissioner Marino heard from national weather experts and local and state colleagues about the many significant changes in hurricane planning and preparedness and new approaches to better prepare residents and visitors for a hurricane.
With the start of hurricane season a few weeks away, now is the time to ensure you are ready in the event of a storm or hurricane. Remember! Make a plan, build a kit, get involved and be informed.
