At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on July 11, 2023, Mayor Weiss presented a certificate of congratulations to Mounts Botanical Garden, Discover The Palm Beaches and the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County for receiving the 2023 Dorothy E. Hansell Marketing Award from the American Public Gardens Association. The award was presented for outstanding work in marketing, advertising, communications and public relations. The nomination highlighted the successful “The Palm Beaches in Bloom” campaign that featured an intricate, large-scale floral installation in New York City in December 2022 that drew attention to our community’s great outdoors and art experiences. This joint collaboration between Discover The Palm Beaches, the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County and Mounts Botanical Garden is a shining example of what our community can accomplish through creative collaboration.
