At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on July 11, 2023, Mayor Weiss presented a proclamation declaring July 2023 as Park and Recreation Month in Palm Beach County. The Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department is celebrating 51 years of providing healthy, happy living to everyone in our community. Parks and recreation is fundamental to the environmental well-being of our community, providing a place for wildlife to thrive and access for all people to connect with nature and outdoor recreation. Palm Beach County recognizes the essential benefits derived from parks and recreation resources and our National Gold Medal award-winning Parks and Recreation Department team.
