At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on Sept. 12, 2023, Commissioner Bernard presented a proclamation honoring Grasford Smith as president of the Palm Beach County Bar Association. Grasford Smith was installed as the 101st president of the Palm Beach County Bar Association on June 3, 2023, and is the association's third African American president. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America, is AV Preeminent® rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has received numerous honors.
