At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on Oct. 3, 2023, Vice Mayor Sachs presented a proclamation declaring October 2023 as Italian American Heritage Month in Palm Beach County. Italian American Heritage Month is an appropriate time to recognize the enormous contributions that the Italian American people have made to this country and the world throughout our history, as generals, admirals, philosophers, statesmen, musicians, athletes and Nobel Prize-winning scientists. In recognition of their enormous contributions to this county, state, country and the world throughout history, residents are encouraged to observe Italian American Heritage Month with appropriate events and activities.
