At the Board of County Commissioners meeting on Nov. 7, 2023, Commissioner Marino presented a proclamation declaring Nov. 11-18, 2023 as National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week in Palm Beach County. The Palm Beach County 2023 Homeless Point-In-Time Count identified 1,855 individuals and families experiencing homelessness, and the Palm Beach County Hunger Relief Plan indicates that more than 200,000 residents struggle with hunger. Leading the Way Home is a robust 10-year plan developed more than a decade ago by the Palm Beach County Homeless Advisory Board in collaboration with agencies from the public and private sectors as the next phase of ending homelessness in Palm Beach County.
