At the November 21, 2023 BCC Reorganizational Meeting, County Commissioners voted unanimously to elect Commissioner Maria Sachs Palm Beach County Mayor and Commissioner Maria Marino to serve as Vice Mayor.
As a fun parting gesture, immediate past mayor and foster pet parent Gregg Weiss gifted each of his commission colleagues with a cat carrier that contained stuffed animal kittens and a voucher to adopt a kitten from Animal Care & Control.
