On Thursday, May 2, all branches of the Palm Beach County Library System
will be closed in order to facilitate an all–staff training event called
“LEAD.”
The training event will allow our library staff to learn the latest in
county and library news, learn from engaging speakers, network with their
colleagues, build on professional skills and celebrate public service
milestones. The last time the Palm Beach County Library System closed for a
training day was in 2007.
All virtual Library services will remain open and available for members at www.pbclibrary.org. No checked-out items
will be due that day; although items can be returned through the outside
returns. Regular service will resume on Friday, May 3.
Over the past decade, the Palm Beach County Library System has steadily
expanded its services and operating hours. The Library System offers the most
Sunday service hours of any county system in Florida with 14 of our 17
locations open seven days a week and with evening hours.
