Census 2020 : Shape your Future

West Palm Beach, FL - Every 10 years the Census (in accordance with the U.S. Constitution) counts the residents in the U.S. These numbers are important to local and federal funding and representation and it is vital that you ‘get counted’.

By April 1, 2020, every home in Palm Beach County will receive an invitation by mail to participate in the Census 2020. If you live in the U.S., you are required by law to complete the Census 2020. Only one person needs to respond for each household (everyone living at that residence).

Beginning March 12th, households will receive a paper Census 2020 questionnaire in the mail to respond to the Census 2020.

There are 3 options for responding:

  1. Mail: You can fill it out and mail back to the U.S. Census Bureau (No postage necessary if mailed in the U.S.)
  2. Phone: To begin, call 844-330-2020, or call the number associated with your preferred language at this website: https://2020census.gov/en/ways-to-respond/responding-by-phone.html

There are 12 different languages represented. (Phone lines are open every day from 7am to 2am EST.)

  1. Online: You can respond by completing the Census 2020 questionnaire at https://my2020census.gov/

If you do not respond using any of the above options, a reminder will be mailed and/or you may receive a knock at your door from a Census Bureau worker who will collect your response (using their tablet) at that time.

The Census Bureau is required by law to protect any personal information they collect and keep it strictly confidential.
