Tax Rates and Contact Info
Local governments like the county, cities, and others set millage rates, or tax rates, that are multiplied by your property value to determine your tax bill amount. Each taxing authority is led by elected officials who answer to the voters.
Florida law states that taxing authorities must provide for public input when setting millage and requires them to state specific reasons for proposed changes in taxes.
